Óptica HM is a company dedicated to taking care of your visual health, with stores located in Oliveira do Hospital, Seia, São Romão, Arganil, Mortágua, and Tábua.

With more than 20 years of experience in the field of visual health, our team is composed of licensed optometrists, opticians and technicians specialized in optics, capable of performing complete visual examinations, prescription of lenses, glasses, sunglasses and contact lenses, in addition to treatments for eye problems, counselling and personalized follow-up.

The first Óptica HM opened on the 7th of July 2001, in Oliveira do Hospital, and less than two years later we opened the second premises in Seia, on the 7th of June 2003.

After the opening of Óptica HM in Seia, and due to the success achieved and the trust of customers in the products and services marketed by Óptica HM, followed by the opening of the plank store, in 2006, the Mortágua store in 2008 In 2010 and 2011, Óptica HM opened commercial spaces in Arganil and, finally, in São Romão. The opening of these stores allowed Óptica HH a very strong regional position, being, in this geographical area, one of the main Optics, even being able to compete directly with the main national Optics, even though these have much more resources.

All customers who visit our facilities, whether to purchase a new pair of glasses, have a free consultation with one of our opticians, or renew their stock of contact lenses, must have a pleasant and efficient shopping experience.

With this in mind, Óptica HM offers practical, effective and accessible solutions to care for our customers' eyesight, using the latest technology and a wide variety of products, from the latest trends in sunglasses to personalized contact lenses.

History

Roots

Óptica HM was born from the dream and ability to make it come true of its founders, Heitor and Miguel. Both from Seia, in Serra da Estrela, since they were very young, they aspired to contribute to the development of their territory through a successful business.

Their professional lives began as opticians and opticians. Heitor began his professional life as an optometrist – after having studied Applied Physics at the University of Beira Interior, specializing in the area of ​​optometry – and Miguel as an eye technician - after obtaining the eye technician course, through the National Association dos Ópticos, in Lisbon - in the city of Coimbra.

This experience allowed both of them the opportunity to acquire a solid knowledge of the Optics and Opticians sector and, four years later, they decided that it was time to make their dream a reality. In 2001, the dream materialized and Óptica HM started its activity, with the opening of the first optician, in Oliveira do Hospital.

The beginning

Due to the work already carried out in other opticians, this team was already familiar with the market, with the products – from sunglasses, to contact lenses, passing through prescription glasses – and the way these were marketed, having realized, in a very quickly, that quality and personalization in customer service would be the differentiating factor for the success of your business.

They invested in modern equipment, new materials and innovative designs to give customers the best possible experience, always offering personalized service and a variety of quality products, from sunglasses, contact lenses and prescription glasses.

They made Óptica HM the gateway for international brands in the Portuguese market, making innovation and business creativity an added value to the company's growth.

The Now

Today, Óptica HM already has more than 20 years of life and employs 13 workers – optometrists, eye technicians, and administrative workers. A team based on the values ​​that built the company in its inception – perseverance, closeness, attention and dedication to the customer.

The growth of the business was so relevant that Óptica HM is, at the moment, a company with a very firm regional implantation, with stores in Oliveira do Hospital, Seia, São Romão, Tábua, Mortágua and Arganil.

It is a trusted regional optician, capable of, in these locations, competing directly with the great national Ópticas, due to the exceptional service, proximity to customers and the special attention given to each person who enters each Ópticas HM store. Each Ópticas HM customer is served according to their visual needs, their preferences and their service is always individualized.
